Over the last three decades, the art of rug making has taught me more than anything else ever could.
I began by watching my father and grandfather — learning the rhythm of the weave, the weight of each fibre, the language of colour. Those early lessons didn’t just teach me the craft, they shaped how I see the world and how I lead.
Over time, patience, authenticity, and imagination became more than values — they became my way of thinking, creating, and building.
Taking our family’s work from Bhadohi to global markets has been a journey of deep pride. Yet even today, I remain hands-on involved in every rug we create, from concept to completion.
For me, quality, innovation, and heritage aren’t just ideals — they’re personal. They are the threads I continue to live and lead by.

“I’m the first woman in my family to step into the rug business — and I didn’t come quietly.
I grew up surrounded by rugs, colours, and the stories behind the craft. That early exposure taught me to value patience, detail, and the pride that comes from building something that lasts.
Today, I’m a Partner at Hussain Rugs International, bringing a fresh lens to a century-old legacy. From storytelling to strategy, brand-building to bringing more women into the fold, I’m here to make this space more inclusive and future-forward.
I’m still learning — the ropes (and the weaves) — but I show up every day with curiosity, conviction, and a voice that’s my own.
